Why we built Moneyfox

We want children to understand economic basics early—through engaging, age-appropriate stories that strengthen long-term financial independence.

The problem

Many children start making money decisions without practical financial education designed for their age.

Our solution

Moneyfox uses personalized AI stories, reflection prompts, and guided activities to teach finance early and build sustainable economic thinking.

Our vision

We envision a future where every child—independent of family background or income—has access to high-quality financial education and can make confident, independent financial decisions.

Inspired by
EU/OECD
financial competence areas

1) Money and transactions

Children learn needs vs. wants, prices, and payment basics through real-life story scenarios.

2) Planning and managing money

Story missions teach budgeting, savings goals, and step-by-step decision making.

3) Risk and reward

Age-appropriate narratives introduce uncertainty, trade-offs, and long-term thinking.

4) Financial responsibility and context

Learners reflect on advertising, peer influence, and responsible choices in a digital world.

How one Moneyfox lesson works

  1. Define a learning goal mapped to one of the four core competence areas.
  2. Generate a personalized story based on age, interests, and reading level.
  3. Use reflection prompts with children, parents, or educators.
  4. Deepen understanding with visuals and short videos.
  5. Complete a simple transfer task (for example: plan a weekly budget).
